We build sports
products around
the fan.

Diablo Aquila Labs is an independent UK product company creating digital platforms designed around how fans discover, understand and experience sport.

Our growing portfolio spans football travel, horse-racing intelligence and motorsport.

About Diablo Aquila

Built around real fan problems.

Diablo Aquila Labs is an independent UK software product company operating at the intersection of sport, technology and fan experience.

We aren't a traditional software agency. We don't build products for clients.

We identify opportunities within the sports we follow, develop our own ideas and create digital products designed to solve genuine problems for fans.

That might mean making it easier to organise a football trip, helping somebody understand why a horse race could unfold a certain way, or giving a motorsport fan more context around a race weekend.

Different sports. Different products. One principle:

Build something genuinely useful around the fan.

The People Behind Diablo Aquila

Two different roles. One shared aim.

Growing products that are genuinely useful to sports fans.

Daniel Barnes

Product & Operations

Dan leads the work behind Diablo Aquila and its growing portfolio of products.

His focus spans product vision, strategy, research, development direction, operations and commercial growth — taking ideas from an identified problem through to products people can actually use.

Dan works predominantly behind the scenes, shaping what YourNextAway, The Thoroughbred and RaceCompass should become, how each product should work and where Diablo Aquila goes next.

James Crow

Partnerships & Relationships

James supports the outward-facing side of Diablo Aquila, with a particular focus on the relationships that become increasingly important as the company's products grow.

His involvement centres on partnerships, commercial relationships and face-to-face representation — meeting organisations and people who can help create opportunities for Diablo Aquila and its products.

As Diablo Aquila grows, James will help turn product opportunities into real-world relationships — supporting discussions with partners, commercial organisations and others who can help move the business forward.
